Maintenance vehicles used for track maintenance and snow removal must ensure sufficient braking effectiveness even during rain and snow without forming a track short circuit. Especially under conditions where the number of braking axles is small compared to the large towing weight, a braking force that can stop instantly is required, and reliable dynamic braking performance is also demanded on downhill slopes. The material of the braking component is made of special cast iron (US light) that satisfies the above performance, and the brake shoes are completely electrically insulated from the mounting part by an insulating plate.
